Badminton Player Kidambi Srikanth has won Indonesia Super Series title in 2017. Kidambi Srikanth played with Kazumasa Sakai on Sunday.Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday congratulated shuttler Kidambi Srikanth after he clinched his second Super Series Premier title by lifting the Indonesia Open men's singles trophy in Jakarta.
"Congratulations @srikidambi! We are extremely delighted on your victory in the Indonesia Open Super Series tournament," Modi wrote in his twitter handle.
World No.22 Srikanth, who had reached the finals at Singapore Open in April, outclassed Japanese qualifier Kazumasa Sakai 21-11 21-19 in just 37 minutes in the final.
In the first game Kidambi Srikanth did not expierence any meaningful obstacles without a fight with a score of 21-11 and seemed in discomfort initially in Game 2. In second game , Kidambi was easily penetrated by kazumasa But from there, he staged a tremendous comeback, as trailing 11-6 , he recovered remarkably to level things at 19-19 before sealing the match with a body smash . The match is 37 minutes , Kidambi won the fight with final score winning in21-19.
" I am happy with this victory after previously had been injured . The role of coach Mulyo Handoyo also improved my ability , Kidambi Srikanth told the media crew after the match.
" The Indian players want to train hard and commitment with the program that I run . These results show the level of Indian players are the same as other world elite players , said Mulyo Handoyo as Indian Coach .
