Vivo's First Finger Print Sensor Embedded into the Screen

Finger Print Sensor
A new Vivo smartphone has been leaked in a video purportedly showing an on-screen fingerprint sensor. The blurry short clip was shared on Weibo, and showed a Vivo-branded smartphone purportedly being unlocked using the fingerprint sensor embedded in the screen.

According to Jiutang Pan , a reputable researcher that specializes in tracking the Chinese mobile supply chain , Vivo could release a phone with fingerprint sensor integrated in the display in next few months.

Pan shared a brief video showing the feature in action . It's not clear if users can unlock the phone by touching any part of the display or just a specific region.

A famous Chinese analyst says Vivo will launch a new phone on June 28, and that device may be the one employing the novel unlocking technique. That said, Apple is still expected to be the company bringing such a solution into the mainstream globally with its iPhone 8, as Samsung has recently been rumored to have given up on the prospect for the Note8 (perhaps due to lack of time before its supposed August announcement).

Whatever the case, it looks like we'll finally see on-screen fingerprint sensing tech sometime later this year. I think this feature gives more security to your phone.
