Humans’ fascination with an automaton, more particularly robots, is never ending. We all are fond of robots. Have you ever imagined a robot doing the job of a Police? Stop imagining… it is becoming a reality soon. Hyderabad will be the first city in the country which could deploy a Robo Cop.
Telangana Information Technology Secretary Jayesh Ranjan unveiled the six-feet tall Robocop developed by the city-based H-Bots Robotics. This robot will walk, recognize people, receive complaints and diffuse bombs, according to PSV Kisshhan, the founder of H-Bots Robotics. "The prototype will be ready by September. After a few months of trial, we hope to hand it over to the police department by the end of the year," he said.
The idea behind this initiative is that we can use small bust robots on selected crossings and points in the city. We simply have to synchronise them with the existing traffic signals at those points and the robot will then stand in the middle, managing the flow of traffic. This will mean that the traffic cop, who had to stand in the middle of the crossing, will now be free to monitor traffic and issue challans."
It is the first of its kind of a facility in South India and Second in India."We are building capacity to produce ten such private police robots every year. These will serve as private security guards and can be used by hotels, hospitals, and offices,” Kisshhan said. Each robot will cost about Rs 3 lakh. This Robo also wear a police uniform.
This Robo will be working in the Jubilee check post from December onwards. Kisshhan PSV, founder, H-Bots Robotics, told Telangana Today, “The robot will be able to identify a person who lodges a complaint, recognize objects which had been stationed in a location for long hours and inform the Police Control Room. Unlike the Police Robot currently used in Dubai, which moves only on wheels, our robot can walk, recognize people, take complaints and detect & diffuse bombs too.”
This is really good news for the people because of the safety which is provided by Robocop
This Robo will work 24 hours it captures photos, take complaints, recognize objects information will be given to the nearest police station. Is it Interesting the World's Second Largest RoboCop is from India? Feeling Proud to give this News.
