They tested and also demonstrated with gigabit speed download speed with 100 Mhz, 5G carrier. This 5G gives the speed of Next generation user experience and increases the network capacity.
Qualcomm also demonstrated Snapdragon X50 5G modem chipset and SDR051 mmWave RF transceiver integrated circuit (IC). The technology used is Keysight Technologies’ new 5G Protocol R&D Toolset and the UXM 5G Wireless Test Platform.

Techniques used by Qualcomm such as adaptive beamforming and beam tracking will extend the range of mmWave transmissions. Qualcomm plans to shrink the existing mmWave antenna by another 50 percent over the coming months and commercial launches of 5G devices and networks in the first half of 2019.
