Intel's " Loihi" Is The First Self Learning AI Neuromorphic Chip

Intel Neurophomic chip codenamed as Loihi.  Intel  Loihi is energy-efficient chip, which uses the data to learn and make inferences, gets smarter over time instead of traditional way of approach. This chip also resembles  how a real brain functions. This first test chip will be available on November.

Neuroscientists  think this Loihi chip  transmits data through patterns of pulses between neurons. This  chip, consists of 128 computing cores. Each core has 1,024 artificial neurons and the  chip total has 130,000 neurons. The human brain is made up of more than 80 billion neurons.

Intel uses  machine learning and  deep learning techniques which requires training models on giant sets of data using huge clusters of computers and it also uses self learning techniques.

This future technology uses  cameras using image recognition application for the search of missing persons and spotlights are also adjusted to check the traffic conditions.

Intel Loihi chip would be automotive, industrial, and personal robotics field.  Loihi is also 1,000 times more energy efficient when compared to normal computing needed for typical training systems.
